    Chad Gabriel began practicing the craft of barbering in 2004. He finished his education in barbering at the San Francisco Barber College and became professionally licensed by 2007. During his career of barbering Chad has competed in hair competitions and has obtained the title of being a Multi-Award Winning Barber. Chad took his knowledge of the hair industry and went to continue educating his colleagues, peers, and hair enthusiasts as an Educator and Platform artist at Hair Shows, Seminars, and Private Hair Education events nationwide. Chad has worked with companies amongst the hair industry such as Andis, Hattori Hanzo Shears, GIBS Grooming, Pacinos Signature Line, Bevel, Johnny B Haircare and Booksy. He’s traveled across the nation to do hair for music artists and professional athletes. In 2018 Chad laid his footprint in the Mission District by opening up his first barbershop called 30SVN located on South Van Ness. After 4 successful years at 30SVN he expanded his barbershop and rebranded to Steel & Strand where he currently operates on the Valencia Corridor.

  • Temur Gold

    Temur Gold from San Francisco has been practicing the craft of barbering since 2018. He’s completed his professional certification from Paul Mitchell’s SFIEC located in San Francisco and obtains a license in Barbering from the State Board of California. Temur specializes in styled haircuts from medium to short lengths, with a passion for precision fades and tapers. An array of topics such as lifestyle, culture, & art are conversations he enjoys in and out of the chair. With an eye for artistic creativity, you’ll be pleased to leave Temur’s chair with a hairstyle in comparison to a work of art. 

  • George Nalbandian

    George Nalbandian was born and raised in the Bay Area with a passion for hair. He finished his professional certification and obtained his license for barbering at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology here in San Francisco. His love for hair started back in 2011 after getting his first fade, after 10 years since that memorable moment you’ll be pleased to find George behind the chair giving out all the fades. Some of his favorite hairstyles include a mixture of classic haircuts with modern twists such as a pompadour combined with a bald taper. He shares the same passion for hair that he has for sports, so if you sit in his chair you’re sure to enjoy a great sports conversation as well as great service. 

  • Rito Arellano

    Rito is the name, hair is his game. Rito started cutting hair when he was 14 years old, and became professionally licensed since 2015. He began his journey cutting his own hair as a necessity, then it grew into a passion. He’s a 2x award winning barber, he’s cut hair for the NBA, MLB, R&B and Reggaeton artists. He prides himself on being able to give quality cuts on all different textured hair while specializing in curly hair and freestyle designs. His hobbies outside of the shop are DJing, hanging out with his French bulldog Rufus, and obviously golfing. FORE!

  • Andres Rivas

    Andres was born and raised in Hayward California. He began his barbering career in 2017 when he picked up a pair of clippers and began cutting his own hair. He began cutting close friends from places such as bathrooms to backyards. While doing this he discovered his passion for creating and instilling confidence in his friends and family through hair. Andres began his barber education at Moler Barber College in Hayward, California and obtained his license in 2018. Andres’ favorite hairstyles to producing clean cuts, short to medium length styles with fades or tapers. An avid traveler and lover of outdoors Andres enjoys exploring the world and learning about different cultures and lifestyles.

  • Tyler Grey

    Tyler has been in the business of cutting hair for 15 years and counting. He started giving haircuts to friends in high school, and turned his hobby into a professional career as a young adult. While attending San Francisco Barber College in downtown San Francisco on Sixth Street, he perfected his craft with precison fades and tapers. He then later improved his skill set with shear work and hairstyling. Expect to receive an array of haircuts and styles that range from precision fades, styled pompadours, faded crop cuts down to the traditional gentlmen’s cut. Tyler has spent the majority of his professional career in the mission district. With that being said, he plans on keeping the good name and reputation he’s made all while delivering above and beyond services with Steel & Strand.
